Asad Islam is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Sportable since August 2023, bringing extensive experience in hardware and firmware development. Previously, Asad served as Principal Hardware/Firmware Design Engineer at Vericon Systems from October 2018 to August 2023, managing the lifecycle of over 10 products and mentoring junior engineers. Prior roles include Hardware/Firmware Design Engineer at Ethical Lighting and Sensor Solutions Ltd., where Asad developed a low power emergency light testing solution, and a Part Time Embedded Software Developer at ELECTRON DYNAMICS LIMITED. Asad began a foundational career with a student internship at Siemens in substation automation systems. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Embedded Systems from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.
