Thorsten Apel

Thorsten Apel is an experienced professional with a long-standing career in the sports and IT sectors. As the Owner of SportContract since December 1999, Thorsten has demonstrated entrepreneurial expertise and leadership. From October 2013 to October 2016, Thorsten served as a Subject-Matter Expert (SME) in Sport and IT, Strategic Advisor, and IT Lead at FIFA TMS, where responsibilities included fostering stakeholder relationships with global FIFA affiliates, including member associations, clubs, and players. Thorsten played a pivotal role in developing the Intermediary Regulations Tool (IRT), enhancing the services offered through FIFA TMS for supporting member associations.
