Owen Jones

Owen Jones has a diverse work experience in the fields of back-end development, validation engineering, and research. Owen currently holds the role of Back-end Developer at SportEasy since April 2023. Prior to that, Owen worked at Clearsy Railway as a Validation Engineer from July 2018 to May 2022. Owen also worked as a Developer at Cocoon Cruisers in 2017, where they developed tools for integrating computational fluid dynamics (CFD) into the company's design and optimization workflow. In addition, Owen has held two positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher, one at Aix-Marseille Université from June 2015 to May 2017, where they developed a diagnostic for the plasma in the WEST tokamak and another at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives from June 2015 to May 2017.

Owen Jones pursued their education in physics, with a focus on plasma and high-temperature physics. Owen began their academic journey in 2007 at the University of Warwick, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2011. Following this, they continued their studies at Durham University from 2011 to 2015, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Plasma and High-Temperature Physics.
