Aritra Kar

Aritra Kar has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and education.

Starting in 2018, Aritra worked as a Robotics Trainer at Futurite Education, where they taught robotics concepts to children and trained them for competitions. They also had a brief Summer Internship at Fortis Healthcare.

In 2021, Aritra joined MindKraft Education Inc. as a Software Developer and Coding Instructor. They developed interactive curricula and lesson plans for teaching coding to kids and conducted online classes and summer camps. Aritra also conducted a UI review of the company's websites, recommending improvements that enhanced website loading times and user experience.

That same year, Aritra co-founded PrintMATE, where they played a key role in creating the business model for the company and developed the backend of the iOS app and website.

In 2022, Aritra worked as a Software Developer at BlackBerry, where they created automated tools, implemented validation systems, and collaborated on improving client interaction with the Camera service.

In 2023, Aritra continued their work at BlackBerry, this time as an Application Software Developer. They designed and developed a multithreaded data processing engine, implemented new features, and resolved authentication flow issues.

Currently, Aritra is working as a Software Engineer at Sportiqo.

Aritra Kar completed their Indian School Certificate with a focus on Science at South City International School from 2009 to 2020. Aritra then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and a minor in Statistics at the University of Waterloo from 2020 to 2025. In addition to their formal education, Aritra obtained several certifications, including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, The Complete SQL Bootcamp, Go: The Complete Developer's Guide, Agile Fundamentals, AWS Machine Learning Foundations, Data Visualization, Software Engineering Virtual Experience, MongoDB Basics, Getting Started with Neural Networks, Python, Intermediate Machine Learning, and Intro to Machine Learning from various institutions like Udemy, Udacity, Kaggle, The BA Guide, MongoDB, and Analytics Vidhya between 2020 and 2023.
