Mehrsan Javan has a wealth of experience in the technology industry. Mehrsan began their career in 2005 as a Research Assistant in Time Series Analysis and Electrical Machines Health Condition Monitoring at the University of Tehran, followed by a Research Assistant role in Biomedical Image Analysis. In 2010, they took on an Adjunct Professor, Industrial Co-Supervisor, and Research Assistant - Computer Vision Researcher role at McGill University. In 2014, they became an Industrial Co-Supervisor at Simon Fraser University and Technical Leader of SPORTLOGiQ at TandemLaunch Inc. In 2015, they co-founded Sportlogiq, where they currently serve as CTO. At Sportlogiq, they are responsible for team building and management, IP strategy, company's technological vision, building and maintaining a network of academic partners, running the business, educating people, tech and product ownership, and software development. Mehrsan's efforts have been recognized with the company receiving awards such as Canada's Top Growing Companies by The Globe and Mail, Canada's Technology Fast 50 by Deloitte, Best Technology for Elite Performance by the Sports Technology Awards, The Upstart 100 by CNBC, and 100 Most Promising AI Companies in the World by CB Insights AI 100.

Mehrsan Javan has a comprehensive educational background. Mehrsan obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical Engineering - Control Systems from the University of Tehran between 2002 and 2006. Mehrsan then went on to earn their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering - Control Systems from the University of Tehran between 2006 and 2009. Following that, they obtained their PhD in Electrical Engineering - Computer Vision from McGill University between 2010 and 2014. Finally, they earned their Master of Business Administration - MBA from Concordia University between 2015 and 2018.
