Benard Chauro has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Benard started their career as an Audit Assistant at Aggrey &company financial consultants in 2011. In 2013, they interned at the Commercial Bank of Africa, gaining experience in personal banking. Benard then joined SportPesa in 2014 as a Financial Accountant, where they were responsible for tasks such as preparing management reports, managing audits, and tax compliance. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of Senior Internal Auditor at SportPesa, where they assessed the organization's risk profile, conducted internal audits, and provided recommendations for improvement. Currently, Benard holds the position of Head of Operations at SportPesa, starting in March 2023.
Benard Chauro began their education at Kapsabet High School, where they completed their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in the years 2005 to 2008. Benard then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance at Kenyatta University from 2010 to 2014. In 2019, they attended London Business School to study Accounting and Financial Analysis for a brief period. Later that same year, Chauro enrolled in Strathmore University to earn a Certified Information System Audit (CISA) degree, which they completed in 2020.
