Chip Fontanazza

Chip Fontanazza has a diverse work experience in the field of sports marketing and content production. Chip has served as the Director of Marketing at The Sports Facilities Companies since 2023. Prior to that, they were the Associate Athletics Director for Brand and Digital Strategy at USF Athletics, where they oversaw content, social media, branding, and creative efforts for the South Florida Athletics Department. Chip also managed a team and used data and digital strategies to generate revenue. From 2018 to 2021, Chip worked as the Global Director of Content Production at The IRONMAN Group, leading live production, creative direction, and social media distribution for IRONMAN and Rock 'n' Roll series events. Chip also Executive Produced live virtual racing during the pandemic. In their role as the Digital Content Manager at Spurs Sports & Entertainment, Chip was responsible for content development and strategy for multiple brands, including the San Antonio Spurs. Chip played a key role in developing the first Digital Playbook for the Spurs. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Central Florida as a Multimedia Manager, overseeing content production and managing coverage of university sports. Chip also worked as a MetroNews Digital Reporter and Producer at West Virginia Radio Corporation, where they wrote features and news stories related to college and high school sports.

Chip Fontanazza earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism, with a minor in Business Administration, from West Virginia University. Chip attended the university from 2006 to 2010.

Chip then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Career & Technical Education at the University of Central Florida. Chip completed their graduate studies from 2015 to 2019.

In addition to their degrees, Chip obtained two certificates: one in Destination Marketing & Management and another in Event Management.
