Mike Sharpe has a diverse and extensive work experience in the sports industry. Mike is currently the Sponsorship & Event Sales Director at The Sports Facilities Companies, where they are responsible for prospecting and contracting multi-year sponsorships and selling local and regional sporting events. Prior to this, Mike was the President of Sharpe-Approach LLC, a sports consulting firm that evaluated operational and planning needs for sports organizations. Mike also served as the President and CEO of the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission and as the Director of Business Development at the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation. Additionally, Mike has held positions such as Assistant Commissioner at the Great West Conference, Athletic Director at Avila University, and Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Mike Sharpe obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in K-12 Physical and Adapted Education from Kansas State University, from the years 1985 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, from 1991 to 1994.
