Tak Miyata serves on the Board of Councilors at Shizenkan University since September 2021 and has been an investor at Prodigy Software Inc. since February 2017. As a co-founder of SmartCityX and SPORTS TECH TOKYO, Tak contributes to initiatives enhancing urban livability and fostering sports technology innovation. Tak is also the founder and general partner of Scrum Ventures, specializing in early-stage investments in the mobile sector. Additional roles include mentoring at Orangefab and past involvement as an advisor for Hapyrus, as well as mentoring for the Korea Internet & Security Agency's Global K-Startup Program. Tak holds a Master’s degree in Nano Science from Waseda Graduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in Nano Science from Waseda University.

SPORTS TECH TOKYO
SPORTS TECH TOKYO is a global mentor-driven program for startups developing cutting-edge sports technology. The program is presented by Dentsu, one of the world’s largest advertising brands, and Scrum Ventures, a U.S.-based venture capital firm. The program involves the selection of 150 sports tech companies across multiple areas of focus who will have access to exclusive events and mentorships in the U.S. and Japan. Following the initial immersion in Tokyo, 10-20 finalists will be chosen to participate in a three-month virtual program--culminating in a World Demo Day, where finalists will present enhanced technologies and partnerships developed during the program. Benefits to participants/finalists: - 150 startups will be selected as participants, gaining access to exclusive events and programing to further accelerate their growth - 10-20 startups will be selected as finalists to participate in a 3 month program--concluding with in a world demo day. This is an opportunity to learn from and connect with industry executives, world-class mentors, investors, and brands. - Opportunity to showcase new technologies and/or products developed through the program.
