Gylton Da Matta

Executive Director Volleyball at SportsEdTV

Gylton Da Matta is the current Executive Director of Volleyball at SportsEdTV. Gylton has previous experience working with the Colorado State University, Dartfish, and the SportsEdTV Foundation. From May 2012 to December 2013, Da Matta was an International Consultant/ Lecturer for the Confederacao Brasileira de Voleibol. In this role, they provided teaching education and coach development for Olympic and professional coaches. Additionally, Da Matta was a consultant for the U23 Men's volleyball team development, injury prevention, and applied neuroscience lectures. The team won the FIVB World Championship title in 2013.

Prior to their work in Brazil, Da Matta was the Club Director of YOSA - Youth Sports Academy with USA Volleyball from 2009-2012. Gylton was also an Assistant Professor of Sports Pedagogy at the University of Northern Colorado from 2007-2008 and an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology/ Motor Learning at Georgia Southern University.

Da Matta's extensive experience in volleyball coaching and development makes him uniquely qualified for their current role at SportsEdTV. Gylton's passion for the sport and dedication to helping others improve their game makes him an excellent leader in the volleyball community.

Gylton Da Matta has a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of South Carolina in Physical Education Teacher Education/Motor Learning. Gylton also has a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in Physical Education Pedagogy/Motor Learning. In addition, they have a Sports Administration degree from Olympico Club-Sports School in Talent Development, Talent Identification and Expertise in Sports. Gylton is also a certified Hearth Math Institute Mentor BPRP.

Gylton Da Matta works with Ciaran Dwyer - Co-Founder & CFO, Robert Mazzucchelli - Co-Founder, Chairman & CMO, and Jim Wallin - Director of Production. Gylton Da Matta reports to Victor Bergonzoli, Chief Executive Officer.
