Arif Islam is a dedicated multimedia sports journalist currently working at SportsPro since September 2023. Previously, Arif served as an Assistant Producer at The Guardian from April 2023 to May 2024, assisting in the research and scripting of the Football Weekly podcast. Prior to that, Arif was an Assistant Producer at Stats Perform from January 2023 to September 2023, focusing on producing uncut content for the Global Video team. Arif also co-hosted the Beyond the Pond Podcast from February 2022 to September 2023 and contributed as a writer for the Sport for Development Coalition from June 2022 to May 2023, emphasizing sports organizations' social impact. Additionally, Arif gained experience as a Sports Journalist at The Sports Gazette from October 2021 to September 2022 and supported The Guardian's audio team in July 2022. Arif holds a Master's degree in Sports Journalism from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and a BA in Law from City, University of London.
