Gurunathan Govindan

Gurunathan Govindan has over 20 years of work experience. Gurunathan is currently working as a Sr Firmware Engineer at Spot AI starting from May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Thuuz Sports as a Principal Engineer from November 2017 to May 2021, where they designed and implemented AWS native solutions, multiple Serverless architectures, and high-performance solutions for OCR detection. Before Thuuz Sports, Gurunathan worked at Cisco Systems as a Senior Engineer from December 2011 to November 2017, where they developed media-oriented microservices for Cisco's collaboration cloud platform. Gurunathan also has experience as a Senior Engineer at Networks In Motion, where they worked on the design and development of public transit navigation systems, and as a Software Engineer at Polycom, where they developed telepresence equipment. Gurunathan began their career as an Engineer at TransCanada and later worked as a Principal Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace Solutions and HTS.

Gurunathan Govindan has a strong educational background in computer science. Gurunathan obtained their BSc and MCA degrees from Bharathidasan University, where they studied from 1995 to 2001. Gurunathan further pursued their education by completing a Masters degree in Computer Science at the Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy from 1998 to 2001.
