Baker Baha

Baker Baha has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2013 when they were elected Director and Board Chair of The Student Association at Durham College and UOIT. In 2015, they founded appsmrt, and in 2016 co-founded Hoods Guru, where they served as Product Lead. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Tucows as Product Manager, Domains, where they coordinated the onboarding of $190 million in revenue to a new payment gateway, strengthened email security measures, and transitioned two teams to agile practices. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Ample Organics as Technical Product Manager, API & Integrations, where they successfully launched an e-commerce integration with Shopify targeting medical patients, grew premium shipping orders through an integrated partner by 10%, and led an effort to unify the codebase. Finally, in 2020, they began working at Wave HQ as Product Manager, Financial Capabilities and Payments, and in 2022, they began working at SpotHero as Senior Product Manager, Money.

Baker Baha is currently enrolled in altMBA, a program from Seth Godin's Akimbo Workshops, and is expected to complete it in 2022. Prior to this, Baha completed a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Ontario Tech University from 2011 to 2017. Baha also has certifications from University of Helsinki, Farnam Street, Reforge, and Scrum Alliance. These include Elements of Artificial Intelligence (2021), Decision By Design (2021), Growth Series (2019), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (2018). Additionally, Baha has attended short courses from BrainStation and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2015.
