Zachary Lawson has over 9 years of work experience in the data engineering industry. Zachary started their career in 2012 as a Business Data Analyst at Point Inside. In 2016, they joined Uptake as a Data Engineer and was promoted to Senior Data Engineer and then Staff Data Engineer. In 2019, they moved to SpotHero as a Senior Data Engineer II and was promoted to Data Engineering Squad Lead in 2021. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Zeitworks as a Senior Data Engineer where they designed, built, and managed multiple Kubernetes Clusters on AWS EKS, developed Terraform w/ Terragrunt System as an Infrastructure as Code Solution, and developed multiple CI/CD Pipelines leveraging GitHub Actions. Zachary has also established AWS ECR for container storage, established Helm Charts for all internal and external applications, designed and built an Airflow System on Kubernetes for batch processing, built Kubernetes processing jobs for ingesting sensor data from S3 into Snowflake, designed and built a data warehouse with Snowflake, developed canonical and analytical data models for use in Machine Learning pipelines, and built and maintained AWS Networking Infrastructure for internal and externally facing network segregation.

Zachary Lawson attended Lewis & Clark College from 2007 to 2011 where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology.
