Product Manager (UX), Royalties & Reporting

Job description

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our royalties & reporting team (RoaR). The team works with large datasets of Spotify’s 100s of millions of users and billions of audio streams, delivering insights to external and internal stakeholders, and most importantly calculating payouts to Labels and Publishers.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the vision and strategy of how we create joy in financial journeys and build clean and thoughtful interfaces, that bring efficiency and insights to our users. You'll also be responsible for components that are powering up our financial processes that are critical for our business.

You will work alongside a passionate and creative group of Designers, Front- & Backend Engineers, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Staff Engineers, and Finance and Licensing business partners to build a product portfolio across several teams in Stockholm and New York.

This is a highly visible and rewarding role with the potential to make an immediate positive impact in an area directly involved in some of Spotify's top strategic initiatives. We are building systems to tackle problems that are unsolved in the industry. Important business stakeholders like Accounting, Legal & Licensing and Creator Marketplace all rely on us delivering something extra.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Help shape the long-term product roadmap for the Royalties UX team which is building internal user interfaces in order to manage and maintain business logic, define & validate processes and monitor progress.
  • Understand the customer and the problem/opportunity landscape and support the delivery.
  • Take ownership of discovering new products/improvements, and customer requirements, and manage UX product development from conception, through execution.
  • Support the vision and strategy for the overall products within the Product Area.
  • Communicate and interact with partners across the organization to understand and synthesize their needs and collaborate on the short- and long-term goals of the business.
  • Together with the Engineering Manager and Designer, make sure that your team is strong and healthy - including capabilities, happiness, resilience, and growth.
  • Balance needs around reliability, security, and scale with building new features.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Driven to get stuff done, but with a collaborative approach.
  • Experienced working with UX (technical) products and how to make them simple, consistent and user-friendly.
  • Learn quickly, digest and triangulate multiple sources of information
  • You are a great communicator and storyteller, communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels, in different shapes depending on the context
  • You practice and advocate for user-centered & data-validated product design & development, ensuring that users and data are at the heart of decision-making.
  • You know how to influence decision-making in a variety of contexts.
  • An excellent communicator in English, whether it be in words or in writing
  • UX research background is a plus.
