Diego Feijer

Diego Feijer is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning with extensive experience in developing personalization and recommender systems. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Spotify since December 2022, Diego previously held the position of Tech Lead, Machine Learning at Clubhouse, where leadership in developing real-time recommender systems and driving ML strategy was pivotal. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Research Scientist at Facebook, focusing on large-scale recommender systems aimed at enhancing user retention and engagement, and a postdoctoral associate position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems. Diego obtained a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a degree in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad ORT Uruguay.
