David Bermejo Peláez, PhD

David Bermejo Peláez, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. David currently serves as the Artificial Intelligence Lead at Spotlab, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at the Biomedical Image Technologies Group at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid starting in October 2015.

Dr. Peláez also has experience as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard University - Brigham & Women's Hospital. David held this position in 2019, 2018, and 2016, conducting research in the field of machine learning. Additionally, they worked as a Research Intern at CIBER-BBN from January 2015 to October 2015, and as a Trainee Research Fellow at CNIC - Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research in the summer of 2014.

Additionally, they completed a Master's degree in Decision Systems Engineering at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos from 2015 to 2016. David's undergraduate studies also took place at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2011 to 2015. David also participated in an ERASMUS exchange program at the Tampere University of Technology in Finland in 2014, specializing in Biomedical Engineering.
