Óscar Darias Plasencia

Óscar Darias Plasencia has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Óscar is currently working as a Mobile AI Engineer at Spotlab since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Natural Language Processing Assistant Professor at UNIR - La Universidad en Internet from September 2022 to March 2023.

From October 2019 to April 2022, Óscar worked at Vodafone as an Android Engineer. Óscar was responsible for developing the MiVodafone app and worked with Kotlin and Java. Óscar also had software architecture responsibilities and mentored newcomers.

In 2019, Óscar had an online internship at BSH Electrodomésticos España, S.A. as a Data Scientist. Óscar worked on a project to extract useful information from a household appliance diagnostic dataset and build a classifier using deep learning techniques.

In 2018, Óscar had an internship at ATECRESA as an App Developer. Óscar developed Android applications for pre-sales and auto-sales, working directly with main clients.

Óscar Darias Plasencia completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidad de La Laguna, from 2014 to 2018. Óscar then pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from UNIR - La Universidad en Internet, from 2018 to 2019. In addition, they also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire, from 2017 to 2018.

Alongside their education, Óscar has also obtained several certifications. Óscar completed courses such as "AI For Medical Treatment," "AI for Medicine Specialization," "AI for Medical Prognosis," and "AI for Medical Diagnosis" from Coursera, obtaining them in 2022. Óscar also completed the course "Building Deep Learning Applications with Keras 2.0" from LinkedIn in 2021 and "First Look: Rust" from LinkedIn in 2020. Furthermore, they obtained a Certificate in Advanced English from CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT in 2016.
