Mohamed Yakoub Messamah is an R&D geophysicist at SpotLight Earth since February 2022, focusing on a spot detection application. Previous experience includes an internship with SEG EVOLVE, where Mohamed worked on data from Mustang Island for investment opportunity characterization, achieving structural interpretation and prospect identification. An earlier internship at Sonatrach involved geomechanical studies and well stability analysis in the Silurian Hot Shale, leading to the development of a mechanical earth model and shale gas potential assessments. Additional internships with Schlumberger provided insights into testing services, and involvement with SEG student chapter at the University of Boumerdes included roles as Vice President and internal relationship manager. Mohamed holds a Master’s degree in Geology from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie and a degree in Petroleum Geophysics from Université de Boumerdes.
