Patrick Spott

Founding attorney Patrick Spott’s philosophy is to provide “big picture” strategic thinking beyond the technical legal answers. With over 24 years of extensive legal experience, Pat Spott understands that the best legal solutions take into account the needs and goals of the whole person. This mindset led to the formation of the Spott Law Office. The firm’s goal is to serve as general counsel to our clients by providing high-caliber, comprehensive legal services, including: business formations, employment law, estate planning, contract disputes, construction litigation, worker’s compensation and mediation. Pat represents both employers and employees in workers’ compensation forums and advises on employment related legal issues, including: questions regarding wage and hour laws, the Minnesota Human Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and contract and non-competition agreements. He is also frequently called upon to both prosecute and defend personal injury actions in both State and Federal Courts. Attorney Kay Biga is a Rule 114 Qualified Mediator and utilizes her extensive business background to help clients understand the practical business and professional implications of legal decisions. With a focus on non-traditional methods of problem solving, both Pat and Kay work as mediators, bringing parties to resolution outside of the courtroom. Pat also works as an arbitrator
