Brent Payne

Brent Payne serves as the Sr. Manager of Machine Learning Applications and Personalization at Amazon since September 2017, overseeing teams in Seattle and NYC that focus on content recommendations and personalizing customer experiences through advanced machine learning solutions. Co-founding and directing machine learning initiatives at Spoutable since November 2014, Brent also held leadership roles at Cursive Labs and LeadCrunch, where contributions included developing platforms for navigating medical and scientific documents and creating successful partnerships for lead generation. Prior experience includes roles as Technical Lead of Data/Machine Learning at BrightScope, Software Developer at Hewlett-Packard and Exstream Software, and a research position at BBN Technologies. Brent holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky.
