Tianyu Shao

Tianyu Shao has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering. Tianyu is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Spover starting from May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Founding Software Engineer at Pipe17 from April 2020 to June 2022. In this role, they built a web application that integrates and ingests data from multiple systems, helping business owners manage their orders, inventory, and product catalogs. Tianyu also served as a Software Engineer at Springshot from November 2018 to April 2020, where they built a User Role/Permission microservice for blue collar workers. Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer at SmartPay Leasing from June 2016 to October 2018. In this role, they built a monolithic web application using Ruby on Rails and MySQL, involving payments, pricing engine, and decision engine. Tianyu co-founded Ace of Cal Entertainment in August 2014 and worked there until July 2015. Tianyu also gained experience as a software engineer at Better Finance, Inc. (formerly BillFloat, Inc.) from January 2013 to April 2014. At Better Finance, Tianyu worked on third-party integrations and the decision engine in the Java department.

Tianyu Shao earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from UC Berkeley College of Engineering, completing their education from 2010 to 2013.
