Sean Mcbride

Sean is sPower’s General Counsel. Together with the legal team, Sean manages all legal matters for the Company, including project financing, M&A transactions, contract negotiation and other corporate legal matters. Sean has a long history in renewables, acting as Vice President and General Counsel of a Utah-based renewable energy company prior to joining sPower and as Associate General Counsel for a geothermal company prior to that. Throughout his career in the renewables industry, Sean has overseen all legal aspects of the development, construction and financing of more than 2 GW of solar, wind and geothermal projects as well as M&A transactions covering more than 5 GW of renewable assets. Prior to entering the renewable energy industry, Sean worked for Ballard Spahr, a national law firm based in Philadelphia, where his focus was public finance and included the structuring of more than $1 billion of municipal and state bond offerings.

Sean received his Juris Doctor from Arizona State University where he graduated summa cum laude after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brigham Young University.
