Ben Austin

Ben has over 10 years of finance and accounting experience for early-stage and high-growth companies, primarily in the medical device sector. As Chief Financial Officer at SPR Therapeutics, Ben oversees the company’s accounting, finance, IT and HR functions. Ben has significant experience in developing and executing operational and financial strategies that position early-stage companies for efficiency and growth. In addition, he has been involved in over $45 million of successful private debt and equity offerings, as well as over $20 million in non-dilutive funding initiatives from both Federal and State Government agencies.

Prior to joining SPR Therapeutics, Ben led the accounting and finance functions for NDI Medical, LLC, a venture capital firm focusing exclusively on innovative medical device technologies in neuromodulation. In addition, he supported NDI Medical’s portfolio companies during their early stages. Ben started his career in public accounting, where he led valuation, forensic and audit engagements for early-stage and middle market companies. Ben attended Kent State University where he earned his B.B.A. degree in Marketing and a Post Baccalaureate degree in Accounting.
