Boris Monov

Boris Monov has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a focus on business operations, analytics, and quantitative analysis. Boris currently serves as the Director of Business Operations and Analytics at Sprague Operating Resources LLC, where they lead teams in various areas such as planning, asset management, and quantitative analysis. In this role, Boris is responsible for driving organic growth, managing portfolio risks, and ensuring pricing and risk management optimization. Prior to this, Boris held the position of Manager of Quantitative Analysis, Natural Gas at Sprague Operating Resources LLC, where they developed quantitative analysis tools and models, managed a team of analysts, and implemented pricing and forecasting strategies.

Before joining Sprague Operating Resources LLC, Boris worked at GDF SUEZ as the Manager of Structuring, Gas and LNG Portfolio Optimization. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing and optimizing GDF-SUEZ's gas and LNG portfolio, managing analysts, and valuing gas and LNG asset management deals. Boris also served as a Senior Portfolio Analyst at GDF SUEZ, where they provided structuring, modeling, and analytic support for gas and LNG assets monetization and procurement. Boris actively participated in large LNG supply deals, communicated with various departments, and used analytic models for hedge verification. Boris began their career at GDF SUEZ as a Portfolio Analyst, focusing on structuring gas sales agreements and developing models for risk analysis and hedge effectiveness monitoring.

Boris Monov obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from the University of Plovdiv "Paisii Hilendarski" in 1999. Boris further pursued their education at the same institution and completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics, with a focus on Macroeconomics, in 2000. Later, from 2002 to 2004, Boris attended Oklahoma State University, where they earned their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Quantitative Financial Economics.
