Backend Engineer at SPREAD

Dimitrios Dimopoulos has work experience as a Junior Backend Developer at SPREAD GmbH since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Cloud robotics R&D Intern at ZHAW School of Engineering from October 2018 to September 2019. In this role, they focused on developing components and applications for the Cloud Robotics Initiative, with a main focus on robotic grasping using servo-electric grippers and depth cameras. Dimitrios also contributed to project proposals and used Docker to offload computationally expensive processes to the cloud.

Dimitrios Dimopoulos obtained a M.Eng. - B.Eng. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Electronics, Control Systems, and Robotics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Dimitrios has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they completed the "Self-Driving Cars (Control - Localization - Vision - Planning)" certification from the University of Toronto. Dimitrios also obtained the "TensorFlow: Advanced Techniques" certification from DeepLearning.AI and the "TensorFlow 2 for Deep Learning" certification from Imperial College London, both in 2021. Dimitrios completed the "DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer Specialization" certification in 2020 from DeepLearning.AI. Dimitrios also holds a diploma in "Constraint Programming for Robotics" from ENSTA Bretagne, earned in December 2020.
