Raissa Vodounon has been working in the healthcare field since 2012. Raissa began their career as a Youth Development Intern at HEAF, Inc., where they facilitated activities and educated youth students on sexual education. In 2014, they became an Academic Resource Commons Representative and assistant at Bates College Library, where they supported every learner in achieving their academic goals. In 2016, Raissa was a Project HealthCare Intern at NYU Langone Health. In 2017, they became an Americorps Member at City Year. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Graduate Student at Columbia University School of Nursing and a Nurse Extern at Weill Cornell Medicine. In 2019, Raissa became a Registered Nurse at Community Healthcare Network. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Weill Cornell Medicine and Harlem Hospital Center. Currently, Raissa is an Ambulatory Care Nurse/IVF Nurse Coordinator at Spring Fertility.

Raissa Vodounon attended Manhattan Village Academy from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained their High School degree. Raissa then attended Bates College from 2013 to 2017, where they studied Biology, General. In 2018, they completed their Masters of Science in Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing.
