Justine Durant

Appointed to the Board of Trustees in November 2006 to fill a vacancy in Position 3, Ms. Durant was elected to the position in November 2007 and re-elected in 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019. She has served two terms as President of the Board. Ms. Durant brings to the position many years of experience as a volunteer in Spring ISD. She has been an active member of parent-teacher organizations throughout the District and has served on numerous Spring ISD committees. She has also been an active advocate with the Texas Association of School Boards legislative committee, dedicated to driving change in Austin. In addition, Ms. Durant extends services to her community as a Connection Committee Chair for the Spring Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., with a focus on advocating legislatively for public education.
