Gareth Sharpe

Gareth Sharpe currently serves as Trustee and Finance Committee Chair at Springboard since December 2021 and as Chief Financial Officer at Compass Group UK & Ireland since August 2021. Previously, Gareth held significant roles at Tesco from 2012 to 2021, including Finance Strategy Director, Asia CFO, and Commercial Finance Director, where responsibilities included overseeing the sale of Tesco’s Asian business for $10.6 billion and managing financial operations for a substantial product division. Prior experience includes serving as Finance Director at dunnhumby and as a Senior Manager in the Restructuring team at PwC, where Gareth managed various restructuring and business advisory projects. Gareth has also contributed as a volunteer trustee for Tesco's Healthcare Trust and as a treasurer for Tideway Scullers School. Educationally, Gareth holds a 2:1 degree in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University Business School.
