Britney Herring (She/Her)

Program Director at Springboard Collaborative

Britney joined Springboard in December of 2021 as a Program Director on the SLA team. She’s passionate about urban education and ensuring that marginalized students are provided with the resources and skills needed to be successful. Britney graduated from La Salle University with a B.A. in History and Secondary Education. Prior to joining the Springboard team, Britney served as a middle school English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in Philadelphia. During this time, she built strong relationships with families and students and created a solid classroom community that fostered student engagement and parent involvement. While teaching, Britney also spearheaded the implementation of a blended literacy lab which combined online curriculum with traditional small group and independent instruction to help students reach their lexile growth goals. Britney’s favorite childhood book is, Brothers of the Knight, by Debbie Allen. She loves the book’s themes of open communication and the importance of honesty. Outside of work, Britney enjoys dancing, traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
