Mary Paranac (She/Her)

Mary is a lifelong educator whose career is inspired by a deep commitment to social justice. Before joining Springboard Collaborative full time, Mary had the privilege of being a teacher and Universal Literacy coach in Bronx public schools for twelve years, where she worked hard to link quality teaching to her students, their families, and the surrounding community. Mary is a graduate of the Leadership for Educational Change program at Bank Street College. She holds an MS in Childhood Education from CUNY, Lehman College and a BA in Urban Studies and Political Science from Barnard College. One of her favorite childhood books is Where the Wild Things Are, a story whose lulling words and magical illustrations send imaginations soaring.
