Michael Ellis

Michael Ellis is currently a Software Engineering Student at Springboard, where projects include the development and deployment of full-stack web applications such as the health data visualization app "Outbreak Atlas." Prior to this, Michael served as Research Technician Lead at the University of Michigan’s Carter-su Laboratory, managing and leading research projects that contributed to multiple publications on the gene/protein SH2B1. Previously, Michael was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia, focusing on CRISPR-Cas systems in hyperthermophilic archaea, and held positions as a Laboratory Technician at Duke University and as a Research Intern at DuPont Pioneer. Michael earned a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Earlham College.
