Kevin Lagrandeur

Kevin LaGrandeur serves as the Director of Research and Academic Affairs at the Global AI Ethics Institute since July 2022, while also holding a position on the Board of Directors. In addition, LaGrandeur is a Founding Editorial Board Member for both the Journal of Posthumanism at Transnational Press London and the AI & Ethics Journal at Springer Publishing. LaGrandeur has been a Fellow at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technology since October 2012, and co-founded the New York Posthuman Research Group, where LaGrandeur currently serves as Co-Director. Academic experience includes a tenure as a Professor at New York Institute of Technology from September 1999 to September 2021, and prior positions as Assistant and Associate Professor at Hofstra University from 1992 to 1999. LaGrandeur holds a Ph.D. in English with a focus on Aesthetic Philosophy from UC Irvine and a B.A. in Economics and English from the University of California, Davis.
