Seong Su Kim

Seong Su Kim is an accomplished academic and editor with extensive experience in the fields of mechanical engineering and automotive technology. Currently serving as the Editor of Materials Today Communications at Elsevier since March 2020 and as the Editor of the International Journal of Automotive Technology at Springer Publishing Company since January 2018, Seong Su Kim also holds the position of Associate Professor at KAIST since February 2017. Previous roles include Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from March 2022 to February 2023 and Associate Professor at Chonbuk National University from April 2010 to January 2017. Earlier positions include Assistant Professor at Chonbuk National University, Project Researcher at The University of Tokyo, and Research Assistant Professor at KAIST. Seong Su Kim earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology between 2004 and 2007.
