Benjamin Vickers

Benjamin Vickers, CEcD, MoCED, currently serves as the Manager of Business Development at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce since May 2023. Previously, Benjamin was the Director of Economic Development for Vernon County, Missouri, from July 2022 to May 2023, focusing on business retention and expansion, housing and workforce development, and community planning. Prior experience includes serving as an Economic Development Specialist at Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission (June 2020 - June 2022) and as a Reporter/Announcer at Ozarks Public Radio (June 2018 - June 2020). Additional roles include Reporter at The Standard (2018) and Resident Assistant at Missouri State University (November 2017 - June 2018). Benjamin began the career in the education sector as a Summer Camp Counselor at MSU Choral Institute in June 2017. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from Missouri State University, earned in 2020.
