Michael Conger

Michael Conger is a Research and Development Engineer at Springfield Armory, Inc. since July 2023, bringing a strong background in mechanical engineering. Previous experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Iowa - IIHR, where responsibilities encompassed running computational fluid dynamics simulations and developing coupling methods for simulations. Additionally, Michael served as a Graduate and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, supporting fluid mechanics education. Earlier experience involved a Mechanical Design Engineering Co-op at Emerson Process Management – Fisher Controls, focusing on environmental testing systems and controller testing, as well as maintenance work at Lewis Machine and Tool. Michael holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and an Associate of Science focused on Engineering from institutions including the University of Iowa and Kirkwood Community College.
