Beth Zapatka

VP for Institutional Advancement at Springfield College

In July 2021, Beth Zapatka, joined Springfield College as the vice president for institutional advancement. The vice president’s responsibilities include advancement services, alumni relations, development and creating engagement opportunities for alumni, parents and friends of the college.

Zapatka comes to Springfield College with decades of experience in development, the majority spent in higher education. Her most recent experience comes from Yale where she held numerous positions over the years at the university. During her time as Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Affairs at Yale’s School of Nursing, she secured significant new resources – nearly quadrupling contributions to the School – oversaw a re-branding campaign, built university-wide collaborations, broadened the use of social media platforms, and re-invigorated the alumni and advisory boards. She also demonstrated a keen ability to grow and develop a strong team of institutional advancement staff and has a record of success in cultivating relationships that will advance Springfield College’s mission and resource base.
