Michael Payne, MBA, PE has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael started their career as an Engineering Intern at Reckitt in 1996. After this, they worked as an Engineering Intern / Project Manager at Paul Mueller Company in 1999. From 2000 onwards, they held various roles at Paul Mueller Company, including Project Manager, General Accounting Manager, Controller / Financial Manager, and Director of Operations / Finance. During their time at Paul Mueller Company, they were involved in multiple responsibilities such as managing projects, implementing ERP software, establishing open book management culture, and leading organizational restructures. Currently, Michael is serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Springfield Sign.
Michael Payne, MBA, PE started their education at Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Michael attended the institution from 1995 to 1999.
Later, they enrolled at Drury University from 2011 to 2013, where they successfully obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. Unfortunately, their field of study during their MBA program was not provided.
In addition to their academic achievements, Michael Payne also obtained the certification of Professional Engineer (PE) from the state of Missouri in July 2006.

History: In 1986, an electrical engineer (founder and CEO) ventured into a new field. Invited by family members to join their small shop in southwest Missouri, they focused on screen-printing and a then new process of “cut vinyl”. The sign industry was just beginning to use computers and apply these vinyl films on windows, vehicles and many other substrates. When changing customer requests coincided with the retirement of family members new opportunities were created. From this combination of circumstances, Springfield Sign and Neon was born. November 2016, we updated our image and made a name change to Springfield Sign. Today, some of the most recognized brands trust Springfield Sign. Clients include: Culver's Restaurants, Walmart, Bass Pro Shops, Braum's, Convoy of Hope, First Watch, Fritz's Adventure, CoxHealth, Ranger Boats, Mercy GoHealth, BigShots Golf, Plaza Tire Service and more.
