Deborah Lahey has extensive experience in education and program coordination, currently serving as the Education Coordinator at Springfield Urban League Inc. since November 2019. Previously, Deborah held various roles at URBAN LEAGUE OF SPRINGFIELD INC, including Program Coordinator for Head Start and Director of Head Start at Springfield Urban League-Head Start. From August 1990 to July 2013, Deborah worked at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School, where responsibilities included Education Coordinator, Interim Principal, and teaching multiple grade levels and subjects. Deborah also coached girls' volleyball and basketball for grades 6-8. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education Leadership from The University of Arizona Global Campus and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Western Illinois University.

The Springfield Urban League, Inc. is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, civil rights and community-based movement that serves nearly 9,000 people annually, providing direct services, research and policy advocacy to assist individuals and communities in reaching their fullest potential.
