Cynthia Scoble

Director, Finance & Information Services at Springfield Utility Board

Cynthia Scoble has a strong background in finance and accounting. Cynthia is currently serving as the Director of Finance & Information Services at Springfield Utility Board since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Controller at Lane Electric Cooperative from August 2010 to October 2020. Cynthia supervised the accounting department and provided support to various managers. Before that, they worked as a Controller at New World Brand's from July 2006 to June 2010, where they collaborated with senior executives to ensure timely filing of SEC documentation and prepared consolidated financial statements. Cynthia also gained experience as a Controller at Good Neighbor Care from July 2005 to March 2006, overseeing a large accounting department and implementing effective accounting policies. Earlier in their career, they served as a Controller at AccuTel Inc from July 2000 to June 2005, where they started as a one-person department and grew to supervise a team and prepare financial statements. Cynthia began their career as a Staff Accountant at Scott & Baldwin CPAs in June 1999 and later worked as a Staff Accountant at Jones & Roth CPAs and Business Advisors in 1998.

Cynthia Scoble has a diverse education history. Cynthia completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management Information Systems, General at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Accounting from the same university, during the years 1993 to 1996. Additionally, Cynthia obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts from Mt. San Antonio College in 1983 to 1984.

In terms of additional certifications, Cynthia has completed several courses, including "Excel PivotTables: Mastering PivotTables and PivotCharts" from LinkedIn, obtained in February 2021. Cynthia also completed "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences", "Skills for Inclusive Conversations", "Accounting Foundations: Internal Controls", "Managing Up", and "Microsoft Teams Essential Training", all from LinkedIn, during the years 2020 to 2021.
