Forrest Barker has a diverse work experience. Forrest began their career in 2010 as EMT Medical Personnel & Crew on the Sailing Vessel Jubilant, where they attended to medical concerns and participated in all vessel duties. In 2013, they worked as a Researcher for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. From 2016 to 2021, they were employed by Remote Medical International, where they held three roles. These included Business Development and Implementation, Team Lead Global Coordination Center, and Global Coordination Center. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Operations Manager for Sprinter Health.
Forrest Barker has a Masters of Science in Global Health from the University of California, San Francisco and a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Biology from the University of Washington. Forrest also holds certifications from the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) as an AIARE Course Instructor (2019) and AIARE Pro 1 (2018), from the Canadian Avalanche Association as an Avalanche Level 2 course (2012), from PADI as an Open Water Diver (2004), from the NREMT as an EMT (2010), and from Remote Medical International as a Remote EMT (2010).
