Hossein Bassir

Co-Founder & Head, Product Design & Development at SprintRay

Hossein Bassir is a product designer and developer who has worked with Techtronic Industries and as an independent consultant. Hossein is currently the Co-Founder & Head of Product Design & Development at SprintRay.

Bassir began their career as an industrial design intern with Techtronic Industries in 2012. Hossein assisted the design teams at RIDGID power tools and RYOBI outdoor group in designing and developing products for their respective brands. Hossein also had a brief role in designing the brand language for Scotts gardening tools. In 2013, they became a staff industrial designer with Techtronic Industries. As a staff industrial designer, they were part of the design team in Anderson, SC, crafting products for RIDGID Power Tools and RYOBI PhoneWorks product line. Hossein also assisted the team in developing concepts that suit their respective brand language, develop and update the brand language, and make sure every detail is translated into the final product properly. Hossein worked hand in hand with the in-house engineering team to communicate design intent from early stages of development all the way to production.

In 2018, Bassir became the Co-Founder & Head of Product Design & Development at SprintRay. In this role, they are responsible for leading the product design and development team and overseeing all aspects of product design, including concept development, user research, industrial design, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing.

Hossein Bassir has a Master of Arts in Industrial Design from Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from Swinburne University of Technology.
