Mehdi Khajeh

Mehdi Khajeh, CFA, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Energy Transition Strategy and Implementation Advisor and Senior Petroleum Engineer at Sproule since September 2023. In this role, Mehdi plays a key part in providing strategic and technical advisory for a significant $1 billion Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) project, focusing on the financing commitment with Strathcona Resources Ltd for Canada Growth Fund Inc. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Reservoir Engineer at Suncor Energy, along with roles at Cenovus Energy, where Mehdi advanced from Reservoir Engineer to Senior Reservoir Engineer. Academic contributions include research and teaching roles at the University of Alberta, complemented by a PhD in Engineering - Oil and Gas from the same institution, and ongoing studies towards a Master’s degree in Data Analytics at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
