Tyler Florence has a diverse work experience in the culinary industry. Tyler served as an equity investor with The Florence Group at Sun Basket in 2015. Before that, they were the executive chef and managing partner at Wayfare Tavern from 2010. In 2006, they co-founded The Florence Group, Inc. and served as its CEO. Tyler Florence also co-founded Sprout Foods, Inc. in 2004. Tyler started their career in 1996 as a chef and television host on The Food Network World Wide. Tyler briefly served as the CEO of Yumavore from 2014 to 2016.
Tyler Florence attended Johnson & Wales University from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training. Tyler continued their education at the same university from 1990 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the same field of study. Later, in 2005, Tyler Florence returned to Johnson & Wales University and received a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training.
