Fred Pruden

Fred Pruden has had a long and extensive career in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Fred started their own consulting company, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Consulting- Pruden Enterprises, Inc., in 2015, where they serve as President. The company specializes in providing assistance to pharma manufacturing companies and offers services such as compliance review, technical transfers, operational efficiencies, capacity expansions, and new facility design and construction management.

Before starting their own company, Pruden worked as the Vice President of Technical Operations at Sprout Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2011 onwards. Prior to this, they were the President of their previous company, Pruden Enterprises, Inc., from 1998 to 2011. Pruden Enterprises also operates as a pharmaceutical manufacturing consulting firm and provides project management and guidance for various aspects such as technical transfers, FDA remediations, process development, supply chain management, and QA compliance auditing.

Pruden also has experience as an independent consultant from 2004 to 2010, and as the Practice Head of Manufacturing at PharmaDirections from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, they worked as a recruiter at Akorn, Inc. from 2004 to 2008, as the Vice President of Manufacturing at AAIPharma from 2001 to 2004, as the Vice President of Manufacturing at King Pharmaceuticals from 1994 to 1996, and as the Vice President of Operations at Ben Venue Laboratories from 1987 to 1989.

Overall, Pruden has over 40 years of hands-on and senior-level experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

Fred Pruden attended Fork Union Military Academy from 1961 to 1964, where they studied mathematics. After that, they went on to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1966 to 1968, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics.
