Peter Brown

Peter Brown, PhD, is an experienced professional in intellectual property and biotechnology innovation. Currently serving as Principal at Spruson & Ferguson since February 2022, Peter previously founded IP Synergy, providing consultancy on IP strategies for biotechnology. Peter held the position of Innovation and Research Manager at Goodman Fielder New Zealand, focusing on the innovation process in the food sector, and was the Senior Associate leading the Food & Beverage IP team at James & Wells. Peter holds a PhD in Structural Biology from the University of Auckland, with a research background in diabetes, complemented by a Bachelor of Science Honours in human genetics and plant biotechnology.
