Lead Engineer at Sprux

Marshall Stokes has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2000 as a Security Research Developer and UNIX Admin for the Center for Secure and Dependable Software. In 2001, they worked as a Software Engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. From 2002 to 2008, they were the Lead Engineer at Sprux LLC. In 2008, they founded Uvumi LLC and served as its CEO until 2017. During this time, they were on a mission to empower artists, promote widespread creation and consumption of art, and add value to the artistic community. In 2016, they became a Startup Advisor for Back to Earth Productions. In 2017, they became the Technical Advisor for Mothership, providing executive guidance in context of security, infrastructure design, hiring, and management. Marshall also became the Blockchain Strategy Advisor for Mycroft AI - (500 Startups Batch 20), providing low-level guidance during design of technical blockchain product integration within context of existing product line and ethical priorities. In 2018, they became the Technical Advisor for Token Holdings and in 2019, they became the President of Rootcrate.

Marshall Stokes obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Idaho in 2001. In 2011, they attended Capital Factory and obtained a Graduate degree in Startups. From 2012 to 2017, they attended a Private Institution studying Business. In March 2015, they obtained a certification in JIRA Workflows and Administration from Atlassian.
