Peter Gathje

Peter Gathje is an experienced software engineer currently serving as an Associate Software Engineer II at SPS Commerce since August 2025. Prior to this role, Peter worked as an Engineering Senior Analyst at Securian Financial from October 2022 to August 2025 and as an Associate System Developer at Federated Insurance from June 2021 to October 2022. Peter's early career included positions as a Front Desk Attendant and Orientation Leader at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, as well as an Information Systems Intern at Federated Insurance in summer 2020 and a role in Street Maintenance for the City of Bloomington, MN during the summer of 2018. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, earned in May 2021, and a high school diploma from Thomas Jefferson High School, completed in June 2017.
