Simon Lara

Simon Lara, MBA, is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Vice President of Technology at SPS PoolCare since May 2023. Previously, Simon held the role of Sr. Director of Technology Operations at Thrive Pet Healthcare from April 2019 to April 2023 and was Global I.T. Operations Manager at Wesco Aircraft from August 2012 to March 2019. An extensive background includes positions at IBM as a Microsoft Server and Application Engineer and at Harte-Hanks, where support for Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory was provided. Simon also has entrepreneurial experience as the owner of Hoops Donuts and Louisiana Automotive Brokers LLC and academic experience as a high school teacher and basketball coach. Educational credentials include an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sport Coaching & Sports Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi.
