Gamini Obeyesekere

Gamini Obeyesekere has diverse work experience in various companies. Gamini started their career as a Web Programmer at vWorker Freelancer in 2009, where they completed multiple PHP backend projects. In 2012, they worked as an Intern at Colombo Dockyard Limited, gaining experience in electronic and hull construction, as well as electrical outfitting workshops.

In 2014, Gamini interned at hSenid Mobile Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, where they designed and produced a prototype alarm/server monitoring LED system. Gamini also conducted research into controlling large arrays of LEDs from a microcontroller.

From 2015 to 2019, Gamini worked as an Embedded Engineer at Sagentia, focusing on hardware electronics and embedded programming. Gamini participated in various product developments, including prototypes and proof-of-principle demonstrators. Gamini also worked on a large medical software project and developed mobile apps in C#.

From 2019 to 2022, Gamini worked as an Embedded Engineer at Simprints. Gamini led the firmware team in developing a new handheld fingerprint scanner device. Their responsibilities included architecture and firmware implementation in C++, working with STM32, an ARM core-based Bluetooth module, and embedded Linux. Gamini was also responsible for ongoing maintenance of an active on-market product.

In 2022, Gamini joined SPT Labtech as a Software Engineer.

Gamini Obeyesekere completed their education at the University of Cambridge from 2011 to 2015. Gamini pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electronic and Information Sciences. Prior to attending university, they attended Colombo International School from 2002 to 2011, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
